i absolutely loved your article lovechildfree. you articulated some of my own feelings concerning parent friends espeicially one in particular whose whole entire life seems to be revolved around motherhood. even my DH who doens't usually notice those things made a comment about our friend.like you i've kept my feelings to myself. its' great that you expressed them here .it only reiterates for me how wonderful and important this forum is for people like us to be able to express those feelings that some in the outside world wouldn't understand.

thanks again for such a great piece!

Excellent article! You've written down in words what many of us have only thought about in similar situations. I think all of us can think of at least one instance where we looked at one of our friends who have had child(ren) and thought "Who is this man/woman and what have you done with my once awesome friend?"
Great job!

Great article! I can certainly relate to the sentiments. Though most of my childed friends are still pretty cool, once in a while they say something that makes me think: are we still on the same planet? Their worlds are so different now, and not in a way that I would personally like.

Love the letter. It's everything that hovers at the tip of the tongue but you try not to say.

Wow!! I could have written that letter myself. And I know who I would have sent it to....my husband's 27-year-old daughter.

She speaks of nothing else but the first child she will have in approximately 3 years. Everything she does is gearing up for that (she plans to have 3 children total). She is a newly married, successful, educated career woman, who loves her job and life. But she is convinced that there is no future without children (frankly, I think she just wants the attention...she is an attention hog...but I digress).

Again, love the letter! :D

Excellent letter, I can really relate to it, Especially the statement people come out with about it being a good thing people like us don't have children. I get that all the time and the stupid thing is us CF's don't want kids.
